Jute: Where did you get your start in photography?

Claudia: It was around 4 years ago. I was surfing on the internet and I found a picture that moved me. Since that day I did everything I could to get my own camera and I started to take some portraits and social pictures.

Jute: What is your favorite piece of equipment and why?

Claudia: Right now I work with a Canon 40d and the lens 50mm 1.8, but my dream equipment would be a Canon 5d mark II and the lens 50mm 1.4. I dont know. There is something about the light and colors that I love in Canon, but I honestly think that you can achive whatever you want with the camera you have. The important thing is the “eye”.

Jute: Do you have an image or series you are most proud of?

Claudia: Of course. I think it will be some pure portraits I’ve done with minimal make up and simple clothes. I dont know, but sometimes there is something magical anout working without a plan because you can go with the flow and the results can surprise you.

Jute: If you could be published in one magazine, which one would it be?

Claudia: I think it would be Vogue. I think it is the dream of almost every fashion photographer. There is something about them that make you want to be a part of that magazine.

Jute: Do you have any big projects coming up you can tell us about?

Claudia: Right now I’m working on a project where I can shoot models with no make up & styling, also giving them the chance to bring to the shoot their own style. No mask, just playing nobody else than their own personality.

Jute: Tell us about your dream photo shoot.

Claudia: I think my dream photoshoot will be Alice in Wonderland. Ahhh I would love to recreate some fairytales in some kind of twisted fashion way.

Jute: I feel like you have a natural talent in getting expression from models. How do you interact with models to make them move so fluidly?

Claudia: I think it is about chemistry. Sometimes you can have a model with experience who is the most stunning, but if you don’t feel the click you won’t have nice results. I even compare it with relationships, but also the important thing is letting them be themselves. I help them with the emotion by making them laugh or make them hate you, just for the shoot! Not real hate! Ha ha! But it will end with great results.

Jute: Why fashion?

Claudia: I think fashion allows you to play with a lot of stuff. Also, it is easier when you work with a team, as in fashion everyone is working for the same goal. It can be really good. In fashion you can recreate a million stories you have in your head and put them out there!
