If you’ve ever fantasized about seeing your own design walk down a runway, this may be the summer experience for you. Los Angeles’ Otis College of Art and Design has a new summer residency specifically built for aspiring and active fashion designers. Guided by designer Amy Bond, as seen on Project Runway Season 16, you’ll explore fashion illustration, materials, and garment construction along with a cohort of other fashionistas. The ten-day residential program will go beyond the traditional workshop and provide an immersive and art-focused approach to fashion design. The program also includes guest speakers, field trips to L.A.’s hot spots, plus access to the college’s advanced production studios. The Fashion Design Residency will run May 21 through May 30, 2018 and applications are due by March 1.
